とてもシンプルで使いやすい飯碗です。
釉薬の刷毛目や少し垂れた部分、ピンホールなどが手作りらしいとても暖かい表情となっています。
表面はすべすべとしていて、手に持った感触はとても優しい印象です。
大きさ、重さ、形とどれもとても持ちやすく手に馴染みます。
優しいベージュ味を帯びた白色が他の器との相性もとても良さそうです。

カタチや色合いは個体差があります。
発送はおまかせとさせていただきます。
できる限り現物に近いよう撮影していますが、お使いになられているPCやタブレットによって、色の見え方は異なります。

◎初めてご使用になる前に１時間ほどしっかりと水につけてからご使用ください。汚れがつきにくくなります。
◎白の作品は他の色に比べて貫入や茶渋が早く目立つ傾向があります。
　ご使用前に目止め(※)をお試しいただくと経年劣化が緩やかになります。
※米のとぎ汁で弱火で２０分加熱、火を止めてよく洗い、乾燥させてください。

This simple, beautifully balanced rice bowl is designed for comfortable everyday use. The expressive brushstrokes of the glaze, subtle glaze drips, and occasional pinholes give each piece the warm character and individuality that only handmade pottery can offer. Its smooth, silky surface feels gentle in the hand, creating a pleasant tactile experience every time you use it.
Its size, weight, and shape are thoughtfully balanced, making it exceptionally comfortable to hold. The soft, warm off-white glaze with gentle beige undertones pairs beautifully with a wide variety of tableware, making it a versatile addition to both Japanese and Western dining settings.
As each piece is handmade, slight variations in shape and glaze are to be expected. Selection will be made at our discretion.
Masahiko Anezaki
Born in Osaka, Japan (1984)
Inspired by a local ceramic artist while living in Panmure, Australia, he began creating pottery by hand-building (2015)
Completed the Kyoto Prefectural Advanced Ceramic Technical College (2017)
Apprenticed under a ceramic artist in Mashiko, Tochigi (2017)
Established his own studio in Mashiko, Tochigi (2020)
A Note from the Artist
"My goal is to create pottery that feels comfortable in the hand and complements both Japanese and Western cuisine. I hope my work brings a sense of warmth and calm to everyday life, creating small moments of comfort for those who use it."
Care Instructions
Microwave: Suitable for reheating only.
Dishwasher: Can be used with care. Please avoid allowing the rim to come into contact with other dishes.
Oven: Not suitable.
Before first use, soak the piece in clean water for about one hour. This helps reduce the absorption of stains.
White-glazed pieces tend to develop crazing and tea stains more readily than darker glazes. To help protect the pottery and slow the aging process, the artist recommends sealing the piece before first use.
How to Seal the Pottery
Simmer the piece gently in rice-washing water for about 20 minutes. Turn off the heat, allow it to cool, then wash thoroughly and let it dry completely before use.
