This beautifully handcrafted rimmed bowl features a soft white glaze with delicate gray undertones, creating a calm, refined appearance with remarkable depth. Scattered pinholes throughout the glaze—natural characteristics of the firing process—add richness and individuality, enhancing the handmade charm of each piece.
The surface has a wonderfully smooth, matte finish that feels luxurious in the hand while maintaining a quiet, organic aesthetic.
Generously sized, this versatile bowl is ideal for serving main courses, pasta, salads, stews, and a wide variety of everyday meals. The broad rim provides an elegant frame for your food, making it easy to create beautifully balanced, restaurant-style presentations.
Each piece by Coz. (Kozue Otake) is created with the artist's inspiration in mind, making every work truly one of a kind. Her glazes are admired for their delicate, nuanced tones—colors that are difficult to define with a single name yet possess remarkable depth and beauty. According to the artist, although she experimented with many different glazes, she eventually realized that her palette had naturally evolved into shades inspired by the traditional colors of Japan.
This is a vessel that inspires creativity in plating and brings a sense of anticipation to every meal.
