やさしい、薄ーいベージュ味のある、深みのある白いリム小鉢です。
随所に見られるピンホールがとても味わい深い器です。
触感はとても滑らかでマットな感じです。
大きさとしては、副菜の和物や煮物など幅広く活躍してくれそうな大きさです。

大竹こずえさんの器はひとつずつ、その時のインスピレーションを大切に制作されているとのことです。
そしてその色は"何色"と表現し難い繊細な色合わせでとても美しい色ばかりです。
ご本人曰く、少しずつ色々な色で製作したのですが気が付けば日本の伝統的な色ばかりになっていたとのこと。
さあ今日は何を盛り付けようか・・・そんなわくわくをくれる器です。

This elegant small rim bowl features a soft, creamy white glaze with the faintest hint of beige, creating a gentle yet sophisticated appearance. Delicate pinholes scattered across the surface add depth and character, highlighting the handcrafted nature of the piece.
The smooth, matte finish feels wonderfully soft to the touch, making it as enjoyable to hold as it is to use. Its versatile size is ideal for serving Japanese side dishes such as dressed vegetables (aemono), simmered dishes (nimono), pickles, or a variety of small appetizers.
Each piece by Coz. (Kozue Otake) is created with the artist's inspiration in mind, making every work truly one of a kind. Her glazes are celebrated for their subtle, layered tones—colors that are difficult to describe with a single name, yet unmistakably beautiful. The artist herself has remarked that although she experimented with many different hues, she eventually realized they naturally reflected the traditional colors of Japan.
A piece like this brings a quiet sense of anticipation to every meal, making you wonder what delicious dish to serve next.
Artist Profile – Coz. (Kozue Otake)
Born in 1977 in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Graduated from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2001.
Began working with ceramics in 2017.
Studied under ceramic artist Yoshinori Takemura.
