シックなグリーンがかったグレー、そして縁部分がポテっとして丸みを感じる豆皿です。
少し荒目の土を混ぜているのでゴツゴツとした凹凸がありながらも表面はするするとしてとても滑らかです。
大きめのお皿や木のトレイ、竹カゴなどにいくつか豆皿を合わせて楽しんでも素敵ですね。
和物やお漬物、薬味など盛り付ければ、お料理を引き立ててくれそうです。

大竹こずえさんの器はひとつずつ、その時のインスピレーションを大切に制作されているとのことです。
そしてその色は"何色"と表現し難い繊細な色合わせでとても美しい色ばかりです。
ご本人曰く、少しずつ色々な色で製作したのですが気が付けば日本の伝統的な色ばかりになっていたとのこと。
さあ今日は何を盛り付けようか・・・そんなわくわくをくれる器です。

This charming small plate features a sophisticated greenish-gray glaze and a softly rounded rim that gives it a warm, inviting character.
Made with a clay body containing coarse particles, it has a subtle textured appearance with gentle variations, while the glazed surface remains exceptionally smooth and silky to the touch. The contrast between the rustic clay and refined glaze beautifully highlights its handcrafted nature.
Perfect for serving condiments, pickles, dipping sauces, or garnishes, this versatile plate also pairs beautifully with larger serving plates, wooden trays, or woven bamboo baskets to create an elegant layered table setting. Its understated design allows the colors and textures of your food to shine.
Each piece by ceramic artist Kozue Otake (coz.) is created with inspiration from the moment, making every vessel unique. Her signature glazes are composed of subtle, layered tones that are difficult to define with a single color, resulting in beautifully nuanced finishes.
According to the artist, although she experimented with many different color combinations, she eventually realized that her work naturally gravitated toward the timeless hues found in traditional Japanese color palettes.
A piece like this invites a simple question each day: What shall I serve today?

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan (1977)
Graduated from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts (2001)
Began working in ceramics in 2017
Studied under ceramic artist Yoshinori Takemura
