マットなホワイトがかった可愛いグレーの小付です。
リムが太く、下に向けて丸まった形です。
少し荒目の土を混ぜているのでゴツゴツとした凹凸がありながらも表面はするするとして滑らかです。
大きめのお皿や木のトレイ、竹カゴなどにいくつか豆皿を合わせて楽しんでも素敵ですね。
一口サイズの副菜や和物、お漬物など、お料理を引き立ててくれそうです。

大竹こずえさんの器はひとつずつ、その時のインスピレーションを大切に制作されているとのことです。
そしてその色は"何色"と表現し難い繊細な色合わせでとても美しい色ばかりです。
ご本人曰く、少しずつ色々な色で製作したのですが気が付けば日本の伝統的な色ばかりになっていたとのこと。
さあ今日は何を盛り付けようか・・・そんなわくわくをくれる器です。

This charming kobachi (small side dish bowl) features a soft, matte gray glaze with delicate white undertones, creating a calm and understated elegance. The wide rim gently curves downward, giving the bowl a warm, rounded silhouette.
Made with a clay body containing coarse particles, it has a subtle rustic texture with gentle variations, while the glazed surface remains exceptionally smooth and pleasant to the touch. This balance of natural texture and refined finish is a hallmark of its handcrafted beauty.
Perfect for serving small side dishes, Japanese appetizers, pickles, condiments, or bite-sized delicacies, this bowl also pairs beautifully with larger plates, wooden trays, or woven bamboo baskets to create a thoughtfully layered table setting.
Each piece by ceramic artist Kozue Otake (coz.) is created with inspiration from the moment, making every vessel unique. Her signature glazes are composed of subtle, layered tones that are difficult to define with a single color, resulting in beautifully nuanced finishes.
According to the artist, although she experimented with many different color combinations, she eventually realized that her work naturally gravitated toward the timeless hues found in traditional Japanese color palettes.
A piece like this invites a simple question each day: What shall I serve today?

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan (1977)
Graduated from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts (2001)
Began working in ceramics in 2017
Studied under ceramic artist Yoshinori Takemura
